1977 Fender Stratocaster. An American original purchased new at Guitar Showcase in San Jose, CA. The traditional treble single coil pickup was removed and replaced with a customized Bartolini pickup by luthier Ed Reynolds of Austin, TX. What makes this guitar unique is the toggle switch Ed installed, which manipulates both the Bartolini and single coil Dimarzio pickups. With the toggle switch in the UP position, you get all the traditional strat tones; with the toggle in the DOWN position, the guitar turns into a telecaster, giving you all the traditional tele tones. It's really 2 guitars in 1 thanks to the genious of Ed Reynolds.
