ON GUITARS - Kinscherff

1995  Kinscherff High Noon.  This 6-string guitar is Keith's main instrument, which was handcrafted by Jamie Kinscherff in Austin, Texas.  Back and sides are aged mahogany with rosewood binding on the neck and body; the top is German spruce; and the neck is ebony.  This guitar is a fingerpicker’s dream because it’s a reduced jumbo (which makes it comfortable) and it projects up and out.  The tone is incredible, and at times the instrument sounds like a grand piano.

Jamie also makes a 12-string version of the High Noon. His new bracing technique lightens the tension on the soundboard, while providing stronger support.

Jamie Kinscherff exhibited at the Newport Guitar Festival, August 3-6, 2006 in Newport, RI. If you want to see and play the BEST guitars in the world, you will want to mark your calendars now for the Healdsburg Guitar Festival August 17-19, 2007.
