ON GUITARS - Taylor

1990 Taylor LKSM12. This 12-string guitar is the King of 12-strings. It’s the Leo Kottke signature 12-string produced by Bob Taylor, which has Leo’s name on the 12th fret.  Mahogany back/sides, with sitka spruce top and ebony fret board. Was found in the vault at McCabes Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, it can sweetly bring a grandma to tears; and at the same time it can beat the crap out of a redneck's ears. Everything about this 12 string is exceptional. It's not grotesquely ornate, but very comfortable, classy and a real sound box. There is an AKG 416c mic in the cavity which is wired in sterero to a Sunrise pickup.
