2002 National Style 1 Tricone. Brass body construction. It has a distinct sound and projects volume like there’s no tomorrow. Overtones are superior, and this particular guitar can tolerate the hard Charley Patton style slapping Keith inflicts upon it. Sounds best with medium gauge strings. Is not as heavy as the steel tricone, but this Style 1 can be used effectively for hardcore delta blues, ragtime, swing, and occasional personal protection against hostile crowds.
